This is Byrne Creek’s pilot year. Our Community School is under construction….a project in the works. Our four overarching goals for this (2011-2012) year include:
- Assess the school facilities and create a booking process for outside groups to use the school after school and on weekends.
- To create a welcoming Community Room where students and families come to visit, ask questions, and connect with needed services and support.
- To create after school and summer programs.
- To facilitate the integration of school services with agencies and organizations outside of the school.

I think turning Byrne Creek Secondary to a Community school is a great initiative. When is the target date for the completion of this project?
